Sometimes you start off with a plan in your head and then your heart takes you in a completely different direction. If you fight it, you usually end up frustrated and upset because you didn't get where you planned to go. If you surrender and just stay curious on your new adventure, you usually discover something that's even better. The trick is to let go.
That's how I ended up with this painting. I intended it to be a bright fall scene with lots of vibrant color. That was the plan in my head. My heart on the other hand had a much quieter plan and luckily I must have been tired enough that day to just let go. I'm so glad I did
